OSVALDO FAILLA. Nato a Milano nel 1960. Laureato in Scienze Agrarie (1984) e Dottore di Ricerca 

 

(1992). Ricercatore (1992-2005), Professore associato (2005-2015) e dal 2015 Professore di prima fascia di 

 

Arboricoltura generale e Coltivazioni Arboree, presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Agrarie ed Ambientali 

 

dell’Università degli Studi di Milano, ove insegna Viticoltura, per le lauree in Viticoltura ed Enologia e in 

 

Scienze Viticole ed Enologiche e Coltivazioni Arboree, per le lauree in Scienze Agrarie. Dal 2014 Presidente 

 

del corso di laura in Viticoltura ed Enologia dell’Università degli Studi di Milano.

 

L’attività di ricerca, in corso e pregressa, riguarda le tematiche della viticoltura territoriale, dell’eco-

 

fisiologia e della genetica della vite, della fisiologia e dell’agronomia della nutrizione minerale e idrica delle 

 

piante arboree. È socio corrispondente dell’Accademia Italiana della Vite e del Vino; Presidente 

 

dell’Associazione Milanese Laureati in Scienze Agrarie e Forestali; Direttore del Museo Lombardo di Storia 

 

dell’Agricoltura; Presidente del Comitato tecnico scientifico del progetto TERGEO di Unione Italiana Vini, 

 

già Presidente del Comitato tecnico scientifico del Centro di ricerche studi e valorizzazione per la viticoltura 

 

di montagna – CERVIM. Gli è stata assegnata l’11a e la 15a edizione del Premio Int. di Enologia e Viticoltura 

 

G. Morsiani e il Premio OIV, nella sezione Storia e letteratura della Vite e del Vino nel 2011 e nella sezione 

 

Viticoltura nel 2013. Dal 2010 al 2014 Chair la COST action FA1003 dal titolo "East-West Collaboration for 

 

Grapevine Diversity Exploration and Mobilization of Adaptive Traits for Breeding". È autore di oltre cento 

 

pubblicazioni scientifiche su riviste, atti di convegni, manuali e monografie nazionali ed internazionali.
